This module presents basic facility defense against intrusion, the adequate security measures that everyone must follow, and key responsibilities in keeping the workplace and product secure and safe. 

Objectives: 

  • Define food defense. 
  • Differentiate between the different types of facility security threats and security measures. 
  • Outline the responsibilities of facility employees, security personnel, and the management team in upholding a facility’s defense system. 
  • Recognize expectations for visitors when visiting a facility.  
  • Outline behaviors and actions that manifest potential threats. 
  • Identify steps and best practices to prevent product tampering.
